| Question | "So All Go To Heaven?" I think its all true what you say about heaven and salvation but there's another way to look at it. You say that no matter what, you will go to heaven. But what happens when somebody doesn't want to. That all his life he runs away from salvation avoids it. How can God save someone who doesn't want to be saved? Or what if he lives his life knowing that he will go to heaven but doesn't show a drop of respect to God all his life. What will happen to him when he dies and God looks him in the eye and asks him if he truly loved him? If that were me, my face would turn white and wouldn't consider myself worthy of entering heaven at all, I would even feel uncomfortable knowing I definitively don't deserve being there. What does God say about this? |

| Answer | Thank you for your question. I can tell you
really are searching. Let me first say that everyone doesn't automatically go to Heaven. If someone does not want to, then because of their free will and God's love, they can choose hell. Because of sin and God's justice needing to be satisfied, He tells us in Romans 6:23 that the payment for sin is death. There are two deaths, (physical and then Spiritual). Death simply means 'separation'. When we die physically.... 'we' are separated from our bodies. When we die Spiritually, 'we' are separated from God for all eternity. That is the reason those who do not have their sins paid for will spend and eternity in hell. Think about this for a moment..... Why did Jesus have to die? He did not sin. Even his enemies couldn't find fault with Him. They had to lie just to take him to Pilot. He died, not to pay for His sins but for "OURS". And that payment was acceptable to God for the remission of ALL sin. Past, Present and Future. ---BUT--- The only way it is applied to our debt is if we... by our free will accept that payment. Then, going back to your comment. Those who have accepted the payment Jesus made for them... "WILL" go to Heaven "PERIOD". You can't lose it, you can't give it away. Think about it this way. "You go to the airport and get on a plane going to Hawaii. You don't have to get on the plane, it's your choice, but someone has given you a FREE ticket. They paid for it and all you had to do was take it and get on the plane. NOW! The plane takes off..... While in the air you decide.. 'I changed my mind. I don't want to go to Hawaii. Or maybe you say... 'You know, I no longer believe in planes.' GUESS WHAT.... You "ARE" going to land in Hawaii! Just a thought. Now I also want to add something I believe you where most likely thinking. "How can people just live as they please and still go to Heaven?" Well, don't forget that before you received the payment Jesus made for you. Where were NOT a child of God. You were just one of His creations. BUT>>>> after you received the 'ticket' you BECAME a child of God. See John 1:12. And once you become a child of God you now have the privilege of a son, but He now has the responsibility of a FATHER. Look up Hebrews 12:6 He will punish and instruct and sometimes show tough love.... BUT... He DOES NOT punish His children with Hell. He might take you home earlier than we should go.
