Question |
Okay. So you said that who ever prays that prayer on the 1st page of www.caniknow.com or one like it, will go to heaven even if they decide not to believe anymore? Also, if you live as sinful as you possibly can and accept Jesus as your savior and accept the payment which he made for us, are you SURE that we can still go to heaven? If we just think "I can sin all I want and then tell God that I'm sorry and then do the same thing again abd again because God will always forgive me", Wont Jesus know our hearts and he will see that we're just abusing the cross? I don't think it's actually safe to just sin all we like and think that we're still saved. What do you think? |

First I want to preface my answer by asking you if God is able to create the universe. If He is able to part the Red Sea. If He can raise Jesus from the dead. Don't you feel that He is also able to discipline His children? Before I give you my opinion, which is based on the Word of God, I want you to look up a few verses. I am going to refer to them in my answer. Hebrew 12:6,7 "For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?" (KJV) Galatians: 6:7 " Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." (KJV) Hebrew 10:26 "For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." (KJV) John 6:37 & 39 "All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day." (KJV) ANSWER: FIRST: One you have prayed that prayer on the 1st page of : www.caniknow.com or one like it, on the authority of God's Word you are saved, or born again, or whatever you want to call it. You, at that moment become a child of God. After you do this, your salvation is no longer in your hands. It is now in God's hands. Now look at: John 6: 37-39 above. He says... "He will never cast us out." BUT... what if we could slip out or just get lost in some weird cult or belief? The "rest of the story" is in the next verse... "...I should LOSE NOTHING!" Now you know you are a "something" You can't lose your salvation.. You aren't holding on to it. GOD IS! SECOND: Can I live as you please?... A better question is... Can I TRY to live as I please? You can try, but remember that God is now you Father, no longer just your creator. AND HE IS NOT GOING TO HAVE JUVENILE DELINQUENTS running around down here. Now look at: Hebrew 12:6 & Galatians 6:7 If you continue in sin you will be punished. But the punishment is not Hell, it is not God kicking you out. You sin enough and He might just invite you in. (Take you home before your time.) IN CONCLUSION: This issue is not can you lose your salvation once you are saved. YOU CAN'T! Even if you sin willfully. Now look at: Hebrew 10:26 above Some say that is just my interpretation. This verse can only be interpreted two ways. (1) That if we ever sin willfully... Then we can never be saved again, because sin has to be paid for..."...there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." (2) There remaineth NO MORE sacrifice for sin because the ONE sacrifice Jesus made paid for all of our sins... Even the ones we commit willfully. Hebrews 10:10-14 The question is not how much sin can we get away with. It should be that we now try to do right, not out of fear of going to hell but out of love for the one who loved us so much, that He gave us His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not parish but have EVERLASTING life. Hope this help in your search for the truth. |
