Question
"Homosexuality" Hi there. I was raised in a fundamentalist Christian home, and I accepted Christ into my heart when I was 5 years old. I said the prayer again a few times between then and now, simply because I would worry about my salvation after hearing some of the "Fire and Brimstone" sermons our pastor gave on a weekly basis.
i.e. "Jesus died for our sins, BUT will go to hell if you commit adultery, homosexuality, etc. At any rate, I have since stopped going to church and have also come to the realization that I am a lesbian.
My Christian family and friends are all sure that I'm going straight to Hell... In fact, most of them have severed all connections with me.
What are your thoughts on the issue? Can a born again Christian who happens to be homosexual go to heaven?

First I want to thank you for your honesty. The short answer is YES!
Your "Relationship" to God is not predicated on your life-style or works, But, your "Fellowship" is.
Ephesians 2:8,9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast."
Just as you mentioned about your family not wanting to have anything to do with you. That does not eliminated the fact that you are still their daughter or sister. Once you were born into your family that SEALED your " relationship. "
Ephesians 1:13 "And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit."
If you have received the payment that Jesus made for you, then you are now His child.

Your choice of life-style may not be pleasing to Him but YOU are His child and He loves you very much, He wants the best for you. But He wants you to make the right choices.
When we face a decision between what we no is right and what we know in our heart is wrong. (Not what others think, but what the Spirit in OUR heart tells us) the whole universe holds its breath, angels, demons, our friends and enemies, and the Trinity itself... Watching with bated breath to see what we will do.
"God loves you... right where you are.... But, He does not want to leave you there.
NOTE! One other thing to consider.
As a child of God you have privileges. But now God, as you Father also as privileges and a responsibility.
Look at Hebrews 12:6
"For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth." (KJV)
If we are disobedient we will be punished but the punishment for His Children is never hell.
