" How were people saved before Jesus came? "

Please realize I am not a Preacher or Minister. I am just a Real Estate Broker who had Questions.
I have tried to answer questions that have been submitted by friends like you.
I hope some of these answers will help you on your search for the truth.

       Greetings friend, I am just going to ask one question that has been puzzling me for quite some time. I am an active Catholic, I know that is irrelevant, but back to my question:
       
" What about all of the people who died before the coming of Jesus? "

Gift Cetificate / Credit Card.

The people before Christ were saved the same way as we are. By faith. Here is an example. I call it the Credit Card / Gift Certificate Example.
  • A Gift Certificate works like this:
           Someone pays for the gift AHEAD of time. Then when you receive it you can pick up the gift that has ALREADY been paid for. (That is how we are saved today.) Jesus paid for it 2000 years ago, and we can receive it now.
  • A Credit Card works like this:
           You pick up your gift before it is paid for. That is what happened in the Old testament. They got their gift of salvation then…. Believing that the payment for their gift WOULD be paid sometime in the future. That was accomplished in the future to them went Jesus came.
What does the Bible say?

       In Romans 4:2,3 “For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture, ‘Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness” We know that Abraham was before Jesus, and it was by his FAITH, (Faith that Jesus WOULD come) he was saved. Just a thought.
